Polska Love Serenade tells the story of a German odd couple who, more or less voluntarily, drives through Poland in a rickety car shortly before Christmas.
While the bourgeois almost lawyer Max Löwenberg (Sebastian Schwarz) is researching Poland for former “German land”, the chain-smoking student Anna (Claudia Eisinger) has a simpler goal: she wants her car to get stolen in Poland. However, both have to realize that they did the calculation without the Polish landlords and Santa Clauses.
Hospitality and a lot of vodka help that Anna and Max not only get closer to the Polish neighbor, but also to each other.
